Rebecca Chen is a copywriter.

She is currently crafting wordstrings at
Translation.
Previously at
Mother NY, The Inturnship, and The Workshop.

(she’s now switching povs because writing in third person makes her want to throw up 👍)

Past Me thought that Marketing was the same as Advertising. In other words, I played myself. No creative should have to do the amount of math that I did. But on the bright side, consumer behavior is my specialty, so I suppose this degree wasn’t a total waste.

Other past lives include being an editor for a data newsletter, a researcher for a Chinese localization firm, and a sushi roller.

>;( is an expression I cannot help.

Outside of writing I enjoy…

-Spending an abnormal amount of time on Wiktionary (everyday…)
-Creating lore for my Animal Crossing island
-Pretending to be a book critic to my 21 friends on Goodreads
-Snoopy (duh)

When you see me, ask me about how I…

-Have a blood debt with the Red Cross over a Snoopy Shirt
-Studied abroad… online 💀

-Gaslit my sister into believing she hates onions
-Commuted 6 hours a day for an internship
